Our hooks are designed by Fia Berglund and Malin Bäccman and manufactured in Sweden and in solid materials of high quality. All fittings are polished and brushed by hand. We are so proud of our high finish and quality. The hooks are available in several different materials such as brass, copper, stainless steel, aluminium and black aluminium.
Our brass hooks are made of pure and genuine brass without any surface treatment.
All our fittings in brass are made of untreated solid brass, which means that over time they age and oxidize. In other words, they do not have any varnish or surface coating like most other fittings on the market. Varnish and surface coating wears with the years and can not be polished again. So, for lifelong lasting hardware we make them in natural materials. Hooks in copper are also made of pure and solid copper, which gives them an exclusive look and great weight.
When you touch the fittings a beautiful patina will emerge that gives that real feeling. Both polished brass and brushed brass darken over time. If you do not want them to be too much patinated, we have a fantastic polish that you can maintain the brass and copper with. More information about care can be found under care and maintenance.
We also have beautiful hooks in stainless steel, which is a fantatic material that is durable, long-standing and stylish. Polished stainless steel is an elegant and good alternative to chrome or nickel that we removed from our assortment because chromium and nickel are a surface treatment that is unfriendly to the environment. Thin surface treatments also wear away over time, which is avoided with a fine polished stainless-steel hook that lasts for year and year.
In terms of colour, the polished stainless-steel surface can be equated with nickel, which is increasing as a popular alternative to materials on the market, but the advantage with the polished stainless-steel alternative is that you can polish up this surface and make a hook or coat hanger look like new after many years of using. Polished stainless steel has a very warm and beautiful colour, is durable and recyclable. The brushed stainless-steel hooks are classic and trendy at the same time. Always a safe choice.
